On June 12, 2025, Qiu Zhi, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Provincial Supply and Marketing Cooperative, led a delegation on a field visit to Fujian Yangzhu New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as Yangzhu Technology). During the visit, they conducted an in-depth investigation into the company’s technological innovation and operational activities, followed by an on-site symposium. The meeting focused on exploring future strategic cooperation between the provincial supply and marketing system and Yangzhu Technology—particularly in promoting bamboo-fiber biodegradable products and demonstrating the practical application of agricultural mulch films. Representatives from the Provincial Cooperative’s Directly-Managed Enterprise Administration Office and related personnel from directly affiliated enterprises participated in the调研 (research and investigation), while Rao Shizhen, General Manager of Yangzhu Technology, provided full陪同 (accompanying support) throughout the visit.

On the afternoon of the 12th, Qiu Zhiqiang led a team to Yangzhu Technology’s Phase I factory for an in-depth调研. This visit marked the second time members of the Fujian Provincial Supply and Marketing Cooperative leadership team had paid a courtesy call to Yangzhu Technology this month, following Secretary-General Lin Guoshan’s earlier visit on May 29th. After thoroughly reviewing Yangzhu Technology’s raw materials and product systems, Qiu Zhiqiang toured the production workshop, carefully observing and gaining insights into the company’s fully biodegradable bamboo-fiber material production process. During the visit, he emphasized three key priorities: First, continue strengthening Yangzhu Technology’s pioneering advantage in the "bamboo-for-plastic" industry by maintaining strong R&D investment, nurturing talent in innovation, and building a robust R&D team. Second, expand the application scope of their products to create a comprehensive "bamboo-for-plastic" product portfolio, systematically addressing the root causes of plastic pollution. Finally, actively seek additional resources and collaborate with government agencies and societal stakeholders to jointly promote the initiative, exploring innovative partnership or joint-venture models to accelerate the widespread adoption of the "bamboo-for-plastic" industry.

During the symposium, both parties engaged in an in-depth discussion on the collaborative plan for Yangzhu Technology’s bamboo-fiber fully biodegradable material industry chain project. Highlighting the urgent global need to tackle plastic pollution, the meeting aligned with national policy directives and leveraged Fujian Province’s relevant regulations as a key driver. Building on Yangzhu Technology’s strategic “bamboo-for-plastic” industrial initiative, the two sides finalized a comprehensive cooperation plan centered around the development of “bamboo-fiber fully biodegradable mulch films.” The Provincial Supply and Marketing Cooperative Association particularly emphasized the core advantages of Yangzhu Technology’s bamboo-fiber-based fully biodegradable mulch film products and their raw materials, noting that these solutions can effectively replace conventional plastic mulch while significantly reducing costs. At the meeting, both parties also summarized Yangzhu Technology’s clear competitive edge over traditional mulch films—specifically in terms of material technology, agronomic performance, and economic viability.

The two parties further exchanged ideas and introduced their respective resources, channels, and strategic directions. Leveraging its province-wide rural business and service network, Fujian Supply and Marketing Cooperative provided robust support for Yangzhu Technology’s promotion of "bamboo-fiber fully biodegradable mulch film." As a pioneer in the field of bamboo-fiber-based, fully biodegradable materials, Yangzhu Technology has already established a comprehensive industry-wide layout along with a clear market strategy plan. Both sides have reached an agreement to jointly develop an integrated "upstream-downstream" industrial collaboration model—combining "front-end bamboo powder production with back-end mulch film sales"—thereby expanding the local supply and marketing cooperative’s distribution channels and contributing to the revitalization of rural areas.

The upcoming joint project between the two partners—developing bamboo-fiber, fully biodegradable mulch film—holds significant economic, environmental, and social value. This collaborative initiative is not only Fujian’s “solution” to tackling plastic pollution but also serves as a shining example of how rural revitalization and green economic growth can go hand in hand. By building a "bamboo-for-plastic" industrial chain, the project will simultaneously unlock the value of bamboo forest resources, effectively curb agricultural non-point source pollution, and help farmers boost their incomes and achieve prosperity—all while providing a replicable and scalable model that can be shared nationwide. Thanks to the deep partnership between Yangzhu Bamboo in Fujian and Fujian Supply and Marketing Cooperative Union, the bamboo-fiber, fully biodegradable mulch film is set to become a vital force in preserving Fujian’s lush green landscapes and pristine waters, contributing Chinese expertise to the global cause of sustainable agricultural development.
